Vine variety: Predominantly Chardonnay, with Pinot Nero and small percentages of Pinot Bianco
Area: Franciacorta DOCG, Lombardy, Italy
Soil: Morainic soils of glacial origin, rich in minerals with excellent drainage
Farming type: Guyot and spur cordon trained vineyards, high-density planting
Grape harvest: Hand-harvested from late August to early September
Vinification: Gentle pressing followed by fermentation partly in stainless steel and partly in small oak barrels; secondary fermentation in bottle according to the traditional method
Ageing: Minimum 30 months on lees, followed by further bottle ageing after disgorgement
Tasting notes: Bright straw yellow with fine and persistent perlage. Elegant bouquet with notes of ripe citrus, white flowers, almond, and brioche. On the palate, refined and harmonious, with vibrant freshness, creamy texture, and a long, sophisticated finish
Best served with: Aperitif, seafood, oysters, light pasta dishes, risotto, and delicate white meats
