      • NegroamaroNegroamaro – is a red wine grape variety native to southern Italy. It is grown almost exclusively in Apulia and particularly in Salento, the peninsula which can be visualised as the “heel” of Italy. Negroamaro Characteristics Sweetness: Dry Body: medium-full body Tannins: medium-high tannins Acidity: medium acidity Food Pairing: Negroamaro with simple pasta dishes or pizza but it is worthwhile trying to find something typical of Puglia or Southern Italy.       • Pinot GrigioPinot Grigio (Pinot Gris) or Grauburgunder is a white wine grape variety of the species Vitis vinifera. Pinot Gris is grown around the globe with the “spicy” full-bodied Alsatian and lighter-bodied, more acidic Italian styles being most widely recognized. Pinot Gris  Characteristics Sweetness: dry Body: light-medium body Acidity: medium-high acidity Food Pairing: Medium-bodied Pinot Gris are delicious sipped solo or enjoyed with seared or grilled fish and simple oven-roasted chicken. Full-bodied complex Pinot Gris can be paired with meaty fish, cream sauces, rich veal, chicken, or pork dishes, foie gras, and even lamb.       • PiemontePiemonte is surrounded on three sides by the Alps, including Monviso, where the Po rises, and Monte Rosa. It is the second largest of Italy’s 20 regions, after Sicily. Piemonte region is famous for Nebbiolo based wines like Barolo and Barbaresco. Three main grapes, that makes up the majority of red wines of this region are Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Barbera.  
      • SardegnaSardegna the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea after Sicily.  Sardegna, 150 miles (240km) off the west coast of mainland Italy. Sardegna famous for Cannonau, the local name for Grenache, as well as Vermentino and Carignano, also known as Carignan.
      • SiciliaSicilia is the largest mediterranean island and there is a great variety of vineyards and wines on this beautiful island with various appellations DOCG, DOC and geographical indications IGT. The most well know indigenous grape is Nero d’Avola. Other interesting grapes cultivated in Sicilia are: Frappato, Nerello Mascalese, Nocera, Nerello Cappuccio, Nerello Mascalese, Carricante, Catarratto, Grillo, Inzolia, Zibbido (Muscat of Alexandria), Moscato Bianco.
      • ToscanaLocated in central Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast, Toscana is home to some of the world’s most notable wine regions. Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano are primarily made with Sangiovese grape whereas the Vernaccia grape is the basis of the white Vernaccia di San Gimignano. Toscana is also known for the dessert wine Vin Santo, made from a variety of the region’s grapes.        
      • VenetoVeneto is a large Italian region with diverse wine region and many world-famous wines such as Amarone Della Valpolicella, Lugana, Soave, and of course Prosecco. Veneto is the most populous and biggest denominazione di origine controllata (DOC) producer of the three regions. Although the Tre Venezie collectively produces more red wine than white, the Veneto region produces more whites under DOC and is notably home to the Prosecco and Soave wines.
