This Primitivo di Manduria DOP wine of the “Cosimo Varvaglione PRIVATE COLLECTION” originates from a careful hand-selection of each single cluster on old free-standing vines, cultivated following the old family tradition.
This intense red wine has purple hints, an enchanting taste and aromas reminiscent of red fruit jam. An elegant wine, that keeps its territory characteristics intact. It perfectly matches with red meat, game and aged cheese. Ideal as a meditation wine, too.
Alcohol: 15% vol.
Production area: province of Taranto
Grape yield per hectare: kg 6.000
Production method: vinification by maceration with controlled temperature at 26°-28°C. After malolactic fermentation, refinement in French barrels and American barriques at least for 14 months.
