No wine could be truer to its roots than Ridolfi classic Brunello. Juicy red fruit notes elevated with craftsmanship and wisdom. A Brunello that embodies the art of mastering Sangiovese winemaking.
Region: Toscana, Italy.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese.
Vineyards: Located on the north-eastern side of the Montalcino Hill.
Soil: Medium-textured soils rich in clay, marine fossils and, in the highest part, Alberese.
Vinification: Fermented and macerated for 60 days in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures with recurrent delestages.
Aging: 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, 12 months in bottle.
Tasting notes: On the nose, clear notes of dark berries and cherries, violet, sweet spices, and a balsamic ending. On the palate, it is elegant and rich while being perfectly balanced. Salty tannins and long persistence.
Pairings: Juicy red meat, game, hard cheeses.
Serving temperature: 18°C / 64°F.
