Appellation: Reggiano Lambrusco DOC
Grapes: 50% Lambrusco Salamino & 50% Lambrusco Marani
Production Area: Produced in Emilia-Romagna, the historic home of Lambrusco in northern Italy. The region’s warm summers and continental climate provide ideal conditions for producing fresh, fruit-driven sparkling red wines.
Soil: The vineyards of the Reggiano area are characterised by fertile alluvial soils with clay and silt. These soils help create generous fruit flavours while maintaining the freshness and lively character associated with Lambrusco.
Winemaking: The grapes are vinified to preserve their bright colour, fresh fruit and aromatic character. A second fermentation creates Lambrusco’s signature gentle sparkle. The process focuses on freshness and fruit, resulting in an approachable and vibrant style.
Organoleptic Evaluation and Food Pairing: Deep ruby red with a lively sparkle and inviting aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry and wild red berries. Delicate floral notes add freshness and complexity. The palate is juicy, soft and refreshing, with gentle tannins and a vibrant finish.
Lambrusco is a fantastic food wine. Serve slightly chilled with antipasti, prosciutto, salami, pizza, pasta with meat sauces, grilled meats and aged cheeses. It is especially good with the rich cuisine of Emilia-Romagna.
