A predominantly Chardonnay with a minor blend of Pinot Noir, and a staggering 20% of reserve wines added. Mature and complex, showcasing its 96 months on lees on its intense golden yellow colour, with fully developed wth tertiary aromas such as notes of exotic spices, almost curry like. It tastes like the nonchalance that a great personality acquires over the years.
Grapes: Chardonnay 80%, Pinot Noir 20% with 20% reserve wine (intense gold colour with orange reflexes)
Wine Making: Once perfectly mature though with a hint of acidity, the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are hand-picked and vinified separatetely and fermented at approximately 16-18°C. A part of the Chardonnay must is fermented and refined in small wooden barrels.
Bottling: In Spring a panel of expert tasters decides the cuvée of the millesimato.
Ageing in the bottle: 96 months.
Bouquet at the nose: Fully developed in which tertiary aromas predominate.
Taste: Notes of exotic spices, cinnamon and almost curry like. Full, it shows the elegance and refinement that can only be achieved with time. That’s the reason why it can be included within the best wines produced in the district of Franciacorta.
