A smooth, medium-bodied red from the hills near Rome. Soft dark cherry and plum flavours with gentle spice and savoury notes. Similar in style to a lighter Merlot or Chianti. Perfect with pizza, pasta, and tomato-based dishes.

Grape variety: Cesanese, Nero Buono di Cori, and Merlot
Grape history: Vines have thrived for centuries in the Lazio region, influenced by its volcanic soils and Mediterranean climate. Traditionally, blends of native grapes alongside more familiar international varieties create wines that are distinctive, generous, and deeply rooted in the land’s history.
Production Area: Lazio, hillsides surrounding Rome
Winemaking: Careful selection of grapes, fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and varietal character. Gentle extraction for balance and smooth tannins.

Temperature: 24 – 26 °C
Ageing: 4–6 months in stainless steel before release
Organoleptic evaluation and food pairing: The wine shows an intense ruby red colour. Aromas of ripe red fruits, cherries, and plums, with light spicy and floral notes. On the palate it is smooth and medium-bodied, with soft tannins and good freshness. Pairs beautifully with pasta dishes, roasted meats, cured meats, and mature cheeses.
