Vinification: Bunches are selected by hand before destemming, followed by optical selection of the grapes. Spontaneous fermentation takes place without added yeasts in temperature-controlled conical steel vats, with maceration for 23 days.
Alcohol: 14.5%
Colour: Brilliant, deep ruby red.
Aroma: Beautifully expressive, with dark cherry, black raspberry and small wild berries alongside violet, bay leaf, sage, juniper, liquorice and aromatic herbs.
Taste: Juicy, elegant and wonderfully refined. Concentrated wild berry fruit is balanced by vibrant acidity and beautifully defined tannins. Structured and exceptionally long, finishing with lingering notes of spice, citrus, herbs and liquorice.
Food Pairing: Perfect with slow-cooked beef, roast lamb, game, wild boar, truffle dishes, aged Pecorino and other mature cheeses.
Serving Temperature: 16–17°C
Ageing Potential: Excellent. Already expressive, but built to develop beautifully over the next 10–15+ years.
Casanova di Neri has produced its White Label Brunello since 1978, with the wine intended to showcase elegance, finesse and the long ageing potential of Sangiovese from Montalcino.
