Vine variety: Negroamaro

Production Area:San Marzano, Salento, Puglia. The area is about 100 meters above sea level, with high average temperatures and medium-low rainfall. The soft soil layer is clayey and quite thin, with a good presence of rocks.
Harvest Period: Half of September
Vinification: Thermo-controlled maceration for about 10 days, followed by the alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts. AGEING: In French oak barrels for 6 months.
Ageing Potential: A wine that preserves its organoleptic characteristics for 5 years.
Tasting Notes: Deep purple red with violet reflections; intense and persistent aroma, with black-currant and wild fruit scent, spicy, with balsamic and vanilla notes. A full-bodied wine, soft and balanced, long and pleasantly flavoured in the end.
Best Served With: Excellent with savoury first courses, all types of meat courses and mature cheese.
Serving Temperature: About 16-18°C.
