Prosecco is currently the most popular sparkling wine in the world. It is made with the Glera grape variety and it is grown in the North East of Italy. There is a special hilly area around the village of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano (1hr drive from Venice) where it reaches the DOCG status that is the highest appellation in Italy. Less than 10% of all Prosecco has DOCG status and it is a big leap in quality.
Prosecco is a refreshing style of crispy and aromatic wine that suits every occasion.
